So I love me some music. I love all kinds of music. Different genres, singers, sounds. But I def love me some soul. Some blues. Some jazz. Some rock and roll. Lucky for me, this past Saturday I was invited to go check out one of our own Bay locals, show off his musical talents. He's a co-worker of a friend, and he was going to be playing at Bullwackers in Monterey. I've never been to the place and I've never heard him play live. So I was excited. I was even more excited that he played well. And I was groovin! I was able to get some decent 'sound' video of him. The 'visual' video is not too good. People were in the way, it was dark, and I was rather far. I had a very good time. Met him and a few other fellas. Cool peeps. I look forward to checking him out again very soon.
So per my Tuesday Tune, I introduce you to Stu Hayden.
p.s. bout 1 min into the video, he makes a shout out to our table. lol

Stu is a cool guy and those were all really good musicians. I still think its funny that they never practice together and they sound so good. Some people practice together all the time and aren't even close to being that good.
ReplyDeleteThe good thing about this jazz/blues music is that they don't all have to know eachother or practice with one another. They can just jam together and it sounds perfect.
ReplyDeletedid you giggle when he gave the shout-out? haha
